Normalizing Emotion (with Joe Gerstandt)

Joe Gerstandt, Inclusion Strategist, discusses the challenges many middle age people face around loneliness, isolation, a lack of connection, and feeling alone in problems. At a time of life that has many unexpected changes to our lives and even our identities and how we define ourselves, many of us find ourselves ill equipped to discuss or process the range of emotions affecting our lives and wellbeing. Neither Joe nor I are mental health professionals, and this discussion is based simply on observation and life experiences – both our own and those around us. This is not a conversation full of answers (although Joe has some pretty good thoughts), rather it’s meant to be the start of a much broader discussion around connection and the importance of normalizing emotion.

AND… please take a minute to email, tweet, post, or share with one person you think would enjoy hearing and learning more about creating an intentional midlife.
