Fitness Transformation After 50 (with Martin Bolduc)

I can’t be the only one who’s noticed health and fitness takes a lot more intentionality and conscious effort than it did in my 30s, or even my 40s. Things take longer, I bounce back slower, and life catches up quicker. I suspect many of us in our 50s and 60s find ourselves wanting to get back into shape, wanting to get back that physical vibrancy we had before. If that’s you, today’s guest has you covered. Martin Bolduc is a body transformation coach who works with men 50 and older to, as he puts it, “get their swag back.” But, even though is focus is on helping men, he shares great information that applies to everyone.

One of the things I appreciate is his approach is measured, realistic, and focused on health first and fitness second. He discusses:

  • His own battle with cancer and bouncing back to win a body transformation contest.
  • The importance of having a clear vision of who you want to be.
  • Why focusing on daily action is more important than focusing on weight loss.
  • The compound effect of commitment, consistency, and common sense.
  • Where men often tend to get in their own way when starting a new fitness program.

There is no quick fix, crash diet, workout insanity here. The focus is on sustainable daily action. As Martin says, “Routine is not sexy, but routine will make you sexy.”
